John and Belinda purchased the Barrenjoey in May 2001 with the exclusive aim of taking her to Indonesia to be one of the finest in the fleet of boats doing surf charters in the archipelago.
She is an Australian registered 70ft steel ketch rigged motor-sailor built to Lloyd’s of London specifications, powered by a six cylinder Gardner 6LX Diesel engine. She has been built to NSW (Australian) 2C Survey, which means the NSW Maritime Authority has recognized her as a charter vessel built and fitted to approved safety standards to take passengers to sea. She has all survey required safety equipment which includes: 16 man life-raft, lifejackets, flares, fire fighting equipment ICOM 710 HF Radio, EPIRB, Depth Sounder, GPS, and an extensive medical and first aid kit.
She caries 7000 litres of diesel and 5000 litres of fresh water, (giving the Barrenjoey a 1,500 nautical mile range). She is powered by two generators, a 26KVA and a 20KVA, supplying 240v AC, 24v DC and 12v DC. She also carries an Iridium Satellite Phone available for personal use at an extra cost.
The Barrenjoey has two double cabins with one dormitory style cabin in the aft for four people. All cabins are air-conditioned. The aft cabin includes a lounge area, complete with its own TV, and VCD/VD player. There is a spacious toilet and shower with hot and cold water, with an additional outdoor shower. The saloon is a spacious, air-conditioned entertaining area with full TV, video, and VCD/DVD, dinner seating for eight people, and a great place to escape the equatorial heat. It has a comprehensive library with a drinks fridge at hand.
Included in your charter package is wholesome and healthy array of Asian and Western foods, snacks, 30 cases of beers, soft drinks, bottled water, use of all on board equipment, transfers to and from the airport and harbour, harbour clearances and permits. If you have any special dietary needs, please inform us beforehand so that we can cater accordingly.
The Barrenjoey is serviced by a 4.5 meter tender powered by a 40HP Yamaha outboard motor for the all important ferrying from the surf breaks and fishing trips. The boat has a full compliment of snorkelling and fishing equipment for the use of our guests.
TENDER/SUPPORT BOAT - BYNDA LAUT

The Barrenjoey is tendered by a brand new 7.3m aluminium support boat powered by two 140 Hp Suzuki 4 stroke outboards. There is plenty of room for 10 surfers and the vessel is capable of at least 30 knots.
We believe we already have a pretty good set-up aboard the Barrenjoey. We like to keep trying to improve on this each year.
This year you will be able to speed ahead, or catch up to the mother-ship, Barrenjoey. We will also have plenty of scope for reconnaissance of the myriad of waves amongst all the nooks and crannies of the archipelago. You’ll be able to go diving or deep water game fishing. In the event of an emergency, we have the capability to transport passengers back to civilization or the nearest professional aid.
The use of this new tender "Bynda Laut" will be included in the overall charter price.
VX Deluxe Yamaha Waverunner

The VX Deluxe was voted “Waverunner of the Year” in the USA in 2005. We figured it would be a good water patrol vessel and another way to vary the fun when combined with the Barrenjoey, as the mother ship and the Bynda Laut as the high speed tender.
With the abundance of quality waves in the region, we figure with a Waverunner we can experience another form of surfing that has grown in popularity over the last few years-tow surfing. We have added a Wahoo sled and floating towrope. Just need to add waves, big and small.
Shaun Dickson, who has devoted his life to tow-surfing, will be training both John and Darren in all manner of driving, towing, and recovery.
Passengers with PWC Licenses or equivalent will be allowed to take the Waverunner for a spin.
For 2007, there will be an extra cost for use of the Waverunner.
We already have one of the best surf charter packages in the whole industry. Come and see what we have now.
